Personal
Outside of the office, Jon enjoys adventurous travel worldwide and alpine skiing in the mountains surrounding Salt Lake City. He’s also a PSIA-certified ski instructor.
Jon Alper founded Alper Law and has practiced Florida asset protection law since 1991, designing domestic and offshore structures for individuals and closely held businesses.
Jon has shaped the development of Florida asset protection law over three decades. His planning was at the heart of BankFirst v. UBS Paine Webber, Inc., the foundational Florida decision on attorney-assisted asset protection planning. His work centers on applying Florida’s constitutional and statutory exemptions to strengthen clients’ negotiating positions and reduce exposure to creditor claims.
Jon is not engaged in any business other than practicing law. He does not sell investments, insurance, or packaged asset protection programs. His primary reward is his clients’ appreciation and satisfaction.
