Personal

Outside of the office, Jon enjoys adventurous travel worldwide and alpine skiing in the mountains surrounding Salt Lake City. He’s also a PSIA-certified ski instructor.

Jon Alper has practiced Florida asset protection law since 1991, focusing on the design and implementation of domestic and offshore legal structures.

Jon has shaped the development of Florida asset protection law over three decades. He played a central role in BankFirst v. UBS Paine Webber, Inc., which addressed the legitimacy of attorney-directed asset protection strategies under Florida law. His work centers on applying Florida’s constitutional and statutory exemptions to strengthen clients’ negotiating positions and reduce exposure to creditor claims.

Jon is not engaged in any business other than practicing law. He does not sell investments, insurance, or packaged asset protection programs. His primary reward is his clients’ appreciation and satisfaction.
